Welcome to the website of Ringwood Town Council.
The aim of this website is to inform the public about the Council’s work, its services, the facilities available, together with information about the town.
Ringwood, in the County of Hampshire, is the Western Gateway to the beautiful New Forest, at a crossing point of the River Avon. For centuries it has been the traditional market town of the New Forest with its market charter dating back to 1226.
From Thursday 5 November new coronavirus restrictions will be in place across England.
From 5 November, everyone must stay at home, and may leave only for a limited set of reasons. These include:
- for education;
- for work, if you cannot work from home;
- for exercise and recreation outdoors, with your household, support bubble or on your own with one person from another household;
- for all medical reasons, appointments and to escape injury or harm;
- to shop for food and essentials;
- to provide care for vulnerable people, or as a volunteer.
If you are over 60 or clinically vulnerable, you should be especially careful to follow the rules and minimise your contacts with others.
You should also continue to wash your hands carefully and more frequently than usual and maintain thorough cleaning of frequently touched areas in your home and/or workspace.
Please see the government's website, updated regularly, for the latest on the restrictions and what this may mean for you.
Ringwood Gateway will remain open and will be offering New Forest District Council (NFDC) essential services only.
Please only visit if you are unable to access what you need on the NFDC website https://www.newforest.gov.uk/
Changes have been made to allow us to operate safely.
There is a queuing system in place and access will be limited to one customer at a time.
Please wear a mask when entering the building; use the hand sanitiser provided; follow social distancing guidelines; and register for Track and Trace.
Please do not visit if you or anyone in your household has any symptoms of coronavirus.
