Allotments

Our allotments are extremely popular and there may be a waiting list at all sites.  For more information on how to be included on the waiting list please see below or call 01425 473883.

Allotments are provided for any resident, over the age of 18, who lives within the Ringwood parish boundary, subject to availability.

A chronological waiting list is kept and allotments will only be let to residents, over the age of 18 of neighbouring parishes, if there are no Ringwood residents on the list.

You can complete and submit an allotment application form here or download it here

The Allotments Rules were reviewed in 2026 and can be viewed here . A plain english version of the rules can be viewed here.

With effect from October 2015, a ground deposit of £24 is required at the start of an allotment tenancy.

Fees with effect from 1st October 2025

Fees will increase in line with inflation from 1st October 2026.

For new non-resident applicants, the charge will be double that of residents.  *The Upper Kingston fees includes the recharge for the annual cost of vermin control arrangements at the allotments.

Each site has its own water supply. Southampton Road, Upper Kingston and Crow Arch Lane sites have lockable gates. Tenants are provided with a key for a £10 deposit.

We are happy for you to grow whatever you want on your allotment within reason and within the law!  We would also ask that you give consideration to your neighbours when deciding what to plant.

A mini plot is approximately 6m x 4m and a single plot is approximately 20m x 6m.

There is an Allotment Association at the Upper Kingston site and the Southampton Road site.

Dementia Friendly - Ringwood and Bransgore have an allotment at Upper Kingston.
