Carvers Clubhouse Goes Green with Solar Power Installation

Carvers Clubhouse Goes Green with Solar Power Installation

  • By: Ringwood Town Council

We are proud to announce the installation of solar panels at Carvers Clubhouse, a significant step towards sustainability and reducing the community centre’s environmental impact. This project has been made possible thanks to funding from Hampshire County Council through their Parish and Town Council Investment Fund and supporting our commitment to a greener future.

The solar panels will generate clean, renewable energy, reducing reliance on fossil fuels and lowering the centre’s carbon footprint. By harnessing solar power, Carvers Clubhouse will also see a reduction in energy costs, allowing more resources to be directed towards the vital community activities and services it provides.

The installation aligns with the Town Council’s broader sustainability goals and demonstrates how local organisations can take meaningful steps to address climate change. It also serves as an educational opportunity for young people and the wider community, showcasing the benefits of renewable energy in action.

Councillor Andy Briers, Chair of Recreation, Leisure, and Open Spaces, said:
"This is an exciting step forward for Carvers Clubhouse and the wider community. Investing in solar energy not only makes environmental sense but also helps to future-proof the Clubhouse by reducing energy costs. It’s great to see local facilities leading the way in sustainability while continuing to support families and young people in Ringwood."
