The Town Council invites residents to a special evening ceremony on Thursday 8th May 2025, as part of a nationwide tribute to mark the 80th anniversary of Victory in Europe (VE) Day.
We are thrilled to announce that significant funding has been secured for a brand-new Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA) at Carvers Recreation Ground — the next major milestone in a long-term plan to transform the park into a more inclusive, and better-used space for all.
Carvers Recreation Ground is looking greener and more welcoming this week following the planting of eight new cherry blossom trees and two elm trees, alongside the installation of two new benches near the skate park.
The Town Council is deeply saddened to learn of the passing of former councillor and mayor Brian Terry, who died on 15 March 2025.
We are proud to announce the installation of solar panels at Carvers Clubhouse, a significant step towards sustainability and reducing the community centre’s environmental impact.

As part of Hampshire Forest Partnership Tree Planting Programme, we have planted six disease resistant elm trees across the Town Council’s land, with two at Carvers (as part of the Carvers Masterplan) and four in other areas.
