Ringwood Winter Wanderland
Ringwood’s Winter Wanderland is a series of events and activities in the Town to mark the festive period. This year the Winter Wanderland will kick off in style with our special celebration event on Sunday 28th November 2021.
Christmas Lights Switch On
The event marks the start of the Christmas period in the town with a day of entertainment for children and families, the turning on of the Christmas Lights and a Christmas Market showcasing local crafts, foods, drinks and gifts.
The event, last held in 2019 due to the pandemic, was a huge success with market stalls stretching from Market Place down to Fridays Cross. Feedback was extremely positive from both the community and stall holders. The Town lights are a huge hit with reports of people travelling huge distances to view them!
We anticipate that official switch-on will take place at 6 p.m. after a day of festivities in the Town Centre which will include a Santa parade, grotto, street and stage entertainment, children’s fairground rides and a Christmas Market.
We expect that there will be free parking in the Town’s car parks.
The event is organised by Ringwood Events Team acting on behalf of Ringwood Town Council.
This information should help explain what the event is, who it is aimed at and how to get involved.
- Market stall holders
We are looking to create a large Christmas market so if you sell crafts, food and drink and gifts then please do read through the information for stall holders, terms and conditions and then book a stall with us. We were almost fully booked last year and expect to be more popular this year so early booking is advised.
We would also appreciate it if you could read all the information attached below before contacting us in case your question is already answered- thank you for your support.
High Street/Market Place shops - Booking form
We are looking for some fabulous entertainers to help make this day special. We would be interested in hearing from anyone who can add to the family, festive atmosphere. As well as stage entertainers please get in touch if you prefer a low-key position on the High Street and you could help to add to the ambiance in the market.
- Sponsor the event
Without sponsors the event simply could not happen.
We know that there are a huge number of generous local individuals and businesses so please do get in touch if you are able to sponsor the event.
All contributions welcome, big or small!
Christmas Window Display Competition
Last year, businesses, community organisations and residents did us proud with magnificent winter displays and a record number of entries to our Window Display Competition. We will of course be aiming to get even more displays this year- more information to follow!
Please do get in touch with Charmaine Bennett, Events Co-ordinator at Ringwood Town Council on Charmaine.email@example.com if you would like to be involved.
