Gorley Road Bus Stop Upgraded with New Shelter

  • By: Ringwood Town Council

A new, larger bus shelter has been installed on Gorley Road, next to the local shopping parade, thanks to funding from New Forest District Council’s Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) Local Infrastructure Fund.

The upgraded shelter replaces the previous structure and has been designed to better meet the needs of passengers using this well-used stop. The new facility offers improved protection from the weather, upgraded seating, and enhanced accessibility for all users.

The bus stop is regularly used by local residents, including those travelling on the popular Ringo circular routes. The improvements will help enhance passenger comfort, safety, and overall experience, particularly for elderly residents, families, and those with mobility needs.

This investment reflects an ongoing commitment to improving local infrastructure and supporting sustainable transport options within the community.

Ringwood Town Council would like to thank New Forest District Council for its support through the CIL Local Infrastructure Fund, which has made this project possible and helped deliver a practical improvement for residents and visitors alike.
