We are seeking an experienced and motivated Finance Manager to join our team.  This is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing the Council's financial operations and ensuring the highest standards of financial management and governance.

As the Responsible Finance Officer, you will work closely with the Town Clerk and Councillors, providing strategic financial advice and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.   

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the Council’s financial functions and supervise the Finance Officer.
• Prepare and monitor budgets, financial reports, and statutory returns.
• Oversee income, expenditure, VAT returns, bank reconciliations, and treasury management.
• Maintain the Council’s Asset Register and manage insurance arrangements.
• Liaise with internal and external auditors.
• Supervise payroll administration and carry out financial risk assessments.
