Carvers Clubhouse, based on Carvers Recreation Ground, is a purpose built centre for the enjoyment of all children and young people in the heart of Ringwood.
It is surrounded by 6 acres of playing fields, a skate park and play area.
It was opened in 2015 and is owned and managed by Ringwood Town Council.
We have a wide range of toys which makes it a great place for parents and carers of young children to visit and relax whilst their children play.
We also have table tennis and outdoor games and toys (weather dependent) available for use for free.
The Centre is available to hire for parties, meetings, training, rehearsals, activities and events.
Anyone is welcome to make a booking but priority does go to activities aimed at children, young people and those that support them.
As well as providing the room hire, we are happy to help promote your services and activities if appropriate.
We have three spaces to hire:
- Oak Room - can be provided empty or with seating for up to 8-10 people. It has hand-washing facilities.
- Beech Room - with a round table and chairs, ideal for small meetings (up to 6 people), 1-2-1, counselling sessions etc.
- Main Hall - ideal for parties and activities requiring more space and people
There is an extensively equipped kitchen which users may access with prior agreement.
Our fees for 2019/2020 remain the same as 2018/2019 (and VAT no longer applies).
We are keen to support initiatives for children and young people and new services for the town.
So fees can be reduced for regular bookings or removed (for charities) in discussion with the Manager.
Out of hours and weekend bookings can incur an additional charge for opening/closing.
Other facilities include:
- Free wi-fi
- Fully accessible
- Outside seating area
- Toilet facilities/Accessible toilet/Baby change facilities
- Pram friendly
All income from room hire and the café goes back into running the facility.
