Ringwood Town Council are pleased to announce their Visitor Information service will be open again this year and will be manned by our staff Nicky Dicken-Fuller and John Gilford.

Along with our very willing group of volunteers, who give up their own time to come and assist each week and make sure the VIC is open.

The service is very much a self-service one with Nicky, John and the volunteers on hand to give advice. Although it is based in the Gateway Council offices it is operated quite separately from the Town, County and District Councils.

Therefore apart from the sale of parking clocks, staff and volunteers will not be able to deal with ordinary Town, County and District service matters although they are happy to pass on information. Christine Smith who manages the VIC staff said ‘we are always looking to improve our service and now sell maps and local souvenirs to people popping in’.

A self service facility is also available during the normal working week and the weekend provision seeks to enhance the service.

If there are any local residents who would like to get involved in a voluntary capacity and make new friends whilst helping visitors to the area in the Information Centre, then please contact Christine Smith on 01425 484725 or email: Christine.smith@ringwood.gov.uk
