Ringwood is a medium sized town located in the South West of Hampshire, a part of which is within the New Forest National Park.  It has a population of approximately 14,000 and an annual budget of around £680,000.

The successful candidate will lead a team of over twenty staff, most of whom are part-time, to serve the community and ensure the Council works within its legal and financial obligations.

The successful candidate will need to be comfortable working in a changing sector, be flexible, a good project manager, capable of taking forward the vision of Councillors, and able to form strong partnerships with other organisations and the community to deliver, or facilitate the delivery of services within the town.

It is unlikely that candidates without local authority experience will have the background to achieve the post requirements.

The Council has a vacancy for an enthusiastic and experienced Groundsperson to join our Grounds Maintenance team.

The successful candidate will have an interest in making Ringwood’s open spaces, playing fields and gardens the best in the area, and must have a full driving licence.

Salary range £16,123 to £18,070 dependent on qualifications and experience, paid in equal monthly payments for a 40 hour week worked over 5 days during the growing season and a 30 hour week over 4 days during the low season.
