Town Council staff and Members were very sad to hear of the passing away of Mrs Veronica Anne Sullivan on 28 November 2017.

Mrs Sullivan was a Town Councillor for 8 years, between 1999 and 2007, and was a member of the General Purposes, Policy & Finance and Planning Committees.

She was a key member of the Walking and Cycling Working Group, which brought about improvements to the pavements around the town, and in particular to creating safe road crossings.

She was a champion for the more elderly residents of the town and worked tirelessly to improve conditions and services.

She was a great supporter of the British Red Cross and regularly gave up her time to volunteer in their office in Ringwood Medical Centre.

She will be sadly missed.
