A31 Road Marking Renewal

Kier Highways, on behalf of Highways England, will be renewing the road markings along the A31 in Hampshire to ensure road user’s safety.

For the safety of the workforce and customers, the A31 westbound carriageway with be closed from junction 2 of the M27 to the A338 Ashley Heath roundabout overnight (between 9pm and 6am) on Tuesday 4 and Wednesday 5 September 2018.

During the closures a clearly signed diversion will be in place via Lyndhurst, the A35, Christchurch and the A338.

If access to your property/business is located directly off the A31 within the closure, a traffic marshalling service will be provided should you require access during the closures.

The main meeting point to go into the closure will be from the westbound entry slip road at junction 1 of the M27.

The mobile phone number to request this service will be advertised on a black and yellow sign placed at the closure points (please note that the number will only be in use between 9pm and 6am).

All drivers will also need to adhere to the site speed limits of 10mph and 5mph when passing plant and/or our workforce.

Please be aware that these works have been carefully programmed but are subject to change due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances

– please check the yellow signs placed in advance at the junction for confirmation of the closures dates/timings.
