Prior to the commencement of the meeting, the Town Clerk reported that apologies for absence had been received from Cllr Chard, Cllr Urwin and Cllr Chambers.

OS/5083 Election of Chairman

Cllr Chard was nominated for Chairman, proposed by Cllr Wiseman and seconded by Cllr O’Reilly. Cllr B Terry was also nominated for Chairman, proposed by Cllr Ford and seconded by Cllr Cole.

A secret ballot was requested by more than two members, in accordance with Standing Orders. Cllr B Terry won the majority of votes.

RESOLVED: That Cllr B Terry be elected as Chairman of the Recreation, Leisure & Open Spaces Committee for the ensuing year.

OS/5084 Election of Vice-Chairman

Cllr Chard was nominated for Vice-Chairman, proposed by Cllr Wiseman and seconded by Cllr Cole. There were no other nominations.

RESOLVED: That Cllr Chard be elected as Vice-Chairman of the Recreation, Leisure & Open Spaces Committee for the ensuing year.

OS/5085 Membership of Sub-Committees and Working Parties

RESOLVED:
1) That Cllr B Terry be appointed to Long Lane Sports Development Working Party;

and

2) That members be retained on the Sub Committee / Working Party as follows:
