P/4633 Election of Chairman

RESOLVED: That Cllr Clarke be re-elected as Chairman of the Planning, Town & Environment Committee for the ensuing year.

P/4634 Election of Vice-Chairman

RESOLVED: That Cllr Steele be re-elected as Vice-Chairman of the Planning, Town & Environment Committee for the ensuing year.

P/4635 Membership of Sub-Committees and Working Parties

Cllr Wiseman suggested that the Ringwood Walking and Cycling Working Group had become obsolete. The Chairman suggested it might be possible for this Group to be formally closed at the next Town Access Plan meeting as its remit would now be covered by this group.

In the meantime, Mrs Sullivan should be contacted and re-invited to be part of the Group. Cllr O’Reilly expressed an interest in joining the Southampton Road Environmental Improvements Steering Group, but was advised by the Town Clerk that this would not be possible as she has a retail unit on Southampton Road and would therefore have a personal and prejudicial interest.

RESOLVED:
1) That Mrs Sullivan be invited to continue as a representative on the Ringwood Walking and Cycling Working Group;

2) That Cllr Clarke be appointed to the Ringwood Traffic Management Issues (Informal Local Members Liaison Meeting);

3) That Cllr Woodifield be appointed to the Signage Project Group;

and

4) That that members be retained as below:

There being no further business, the Chairman closed the meeting at 8.24pm.
