A meeting of the above Committee will be held at “Greenways” on Friday 2nd July 2010 at 2.00pm* or at the conclusion of the public participation session at 2.10pm and your attendance is requested.

PUBLIC PARTICIPATION:
*The meeting will be preceded by a public participation period of up to 10 minutes at 2.00pm.  If no member of the public wishes to speak to the Council, the meeting will start at 2.00pm.

Members of the public are also entitled to speak during the meeting on individual items on the public agenda in accordance with the Council’s public participation scheme.

1. DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST

2. MINUTES OF THE PREVIOUS MEETING

To approve as a correct record the minutes of the meetings held on 26th May and 4th June 2010.

3. PLANNING APPLICATIONS

To consider applications received for the periods ending 2nd June, 9th June, 16th June and 23rd June 2010 (see Report A attached).

4. SOUTH EAST DORSET TRANSPORT STRATEGY

To note that the public’s views are being sought on strategy options (consultation available to view in the office or www.sedorsetmms.com).

5. CONCESSIONARY FARES CONSULTATION

To note that the responsibility for the administration of concessionary fares will move from the District to the County Council from 1st April 2011 and to authorise one Member to attend a consultative meeting on possible changes.

6. BUS STOP – SOUTHAMPTON ROAD

To consider a petition from residents for the provision of a bus shelter in Southampton Road (northside) adjacent to 6 Whitehart Fields. Note: the previous bus shelter was vandalised and as a result had to be demolished.

7. PARKING IN KINGSFIELD

To consider a petition from residents in favour of a restricted parking zone in Kingsfield.

8. NFDC PROPOSED PARKING PLACES AND WAITING RESTRICTIONS

To consider the proposed Order to introduce new restrictions and parking places and changes to existing parking places and waiting restrictions (see Report ‘B’ attached).

9. TRAFFIC CALMING PROPOSALS

To consider Hampshire County Council’s proposals for a traffic calming scheme in Southampton Road and Meeting House Lane (see Report ‘C’ attached). Note: this is associated with the Southampton Road Environmental Improvements Scheme.

10. BENCH OUTSIDE 5 MOUNT PLEASANT LANE

Further to Minute P/4778 of the Meeting of this Committee on 4th June, to reconsider the relocation of the bench, in the light of new information.
