A meeting of the above Committee will be held at “Greenways” on Wednesday 15 April 2009 at 7.00 pm* or at the conclusion of the public participation session at 7.10 pm and your attendance is requested.

Public Participation:

*The meeting will be preceded by a public participation period of up to 10 minutes at 7.00pm. If no member of the public wishes to speak to the Council, the meeting will start at 7.00pm.

Members of the public are entitled to speak on individual items on the public agenda in accordance with the Council’s public participation scheme.

1. MINUTES OF THE PREVIOUS MEETING

To approve as a correct record the minutes of the meeting held on 18th March 2009.

2. FINANCIAL REPORTS (Report A attached):

a. To receive and authorise list of payments made on Imprest Account in March
b. To receive and authorise list of Petty Cash payments for March
c. To receive Statement of Town Council Balances
d. To authorise Inter Account Transfers
e. To note the Finance Manager’s report and receive Budgetary Control Reports on the Probable Actuals for period April 2008 to March 2009.

3. RINGWOOD FESTIVAL

To receive minutes of the meeting of the Ringwood Festival Steering Committee held on 6th April 2009 and approve proposals therein (Report B attached)

4. GRANT AID

To consider the following applications for grant aid (Report C attached):

1) Vitalise
2) The Royal British Legion, Ringwood & District Branch
3) Turn Up For Fun (Hampshire Children and Families Forum)
4) U-nite

5. MEMBERS’ ALLOWANCES

To consider the Town Clerk’s Report (attached as Report D).

6. EXAMINATION OF THE NEW FOREST DISTRICT COUNCIL CORE STRATEGY

To note the appointment of an independent inspector and consider whether the Town Council wishes to appoint one Member to attend the Pre-Hearing Meeting on 23rd April at 10am.

7. ECONOMIC DOWNTURN

To consider ways in which the Town Council can support other authorities/agencies to help local residents and businesses. Note: useful links have already been included on the Town Council’s website.

8. BUSINESS RATES

The end of business rate relief from 1st April will see tens of thousands of small companies’ rates increasing by up to 1000%. Members are asked to consider what, if any, action the Town Council can take to push for further relief.
