A meeting of the above Committee will be held at “Greenways” on Friday 27 March 2009 at 2.00 pm* or at the conclusion of the public participation session at 2.10 pm and your attendance is requested.

*The meeting will be preceded by a public participation period of up to 10 minutes at 2.00pm. If no member of the public wishes to speak to the Council, the meeting will start at 2.00pm.

1. MINUTES OF THE PREVIOUS MEETING

To approve as a correct record the minutes of the meeting held on 27th February.

2. PLANNING APPLICATIONS

To consider applications received for the periods ending 25th February, 4th March, 11th March and 18th March (Report A attached).

3. CONSERVATION AREAS

To consider making a request for the New Forest Association of Local Councils to hold a debate on the interpretation of conservation area policies (Report B).

4. APPEAL REGARDING 13 WESTBURY ROAD

To consider an appeal regarding Application Number 08/93175 – Two-storey front extension; amendments to garage; 1.8 & 1.2 metre high boundary walls. The Town Council’s observation was: “Refusal (4) - Members support the Planning Officer's comments” (Report C).

5. DRAFT TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT PROGRAMME 2009/10

To receive response from New Forest District Council to this Committee’s comments on the Traffic Management Programme (P/4625 in Minutes dated 27/2/09 refers).

6. TREE PRESERVATION ORDER 36/08

To consider an application for a Tree Preservation Order on land of Meadow View, 12 Salisbury Road, and whether to send representatives to the site visit and the formal hearing on Thursday 9th April 2009.

7. GORLEY ROAD ACCIDENT

Following the fatal accident on 21st November 2008, resulting in the death of a resident of The Lantern Community, to consider The Community’s request for support in furthering a review of the street lighting and the provision of a pedestrian crossing on Gorley Road.
