A meeting of the above Committee will be held at “Greenways” on Wednesday 5 November 2008 at 7.00 pm* or at the conclusion of the public participation session at 7.10 pm and your attendance is requested.

1. Minutes of the Previous Meeting

To approve as a correct record the minutes of the meeting held on 01 October 2008

2. Committee Budget 2009/10

a) To consider proposals for inclusion in the Committee’s budget for 2009/10 (report attached)

b) To consider issues arising from Town Plan consultations and determine the extent of any provision to be made in the budget for 2009/10 and future years for further investigation and implementation of any proposals
(report attached).

3. Town Centre Roundabout

To receive an update on progress with the planting scheme.

4. Date of January Meeting

To consider moving the date of the 07 January meeting to 14 January 2009

5. Rodent Control at Carvers and War Memorial

To consider an estimate for an Annual Pest Control Contract to address the ongoing problem of rodents at Carvers and the War Memorial.

6. Carvers Footpath

To consider proposals

a) To install user friendly disabled access facility at the Southampton Road end of the footpath at Carvers Recreation Ground;

and

b) To construct a new access from the main gate on Southampton Road to the Children’s Play Area and Skate Park to enable closure of the temporary access constructed when the site was used for the temporary medical centre.

7. Charity Football Tournament at Long Lane

To approve the decision made by the Chairman and Vice-Chairman of the Committee to allow the use of flood lights from approximately 7.00pm-9.30pm for the Charity Six-a-side Friendly Tournament on Monday 11 November 2008.
