A meeting of the above Committee will be held at “Greenways” on Friday 14th September 2007 at 2.00pm*, or at the conclusion of the public participation period at 2.10pm, and your attendance is requested.

*The meeting will be preceded by a public participation period of up to 10 minutes at 2.00pm.  If no member of the public wishes to speak to the Council, the meeting will start at 2.00pm.

Members of the public are entitled to speak on individual items on the public agenda in accordance with the Council’s public participation scheme.

1. To approve as a correct record the Minutes of the Meeting held on 17th August 2007

2. Planning Applications

To consider applications received for periods ending 15th, 22nd & 29th August and 5th September 2007
(schedule attached)

3. Appeals to the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government

To consider the following (details attached):

i) Appeal by Mr R Watts against the refusal of permission for a house and detached garage at 1 Narrow Lane (PA 07/89351 refers)

ii) Appeal by Mr M Cheal against the refusal of permission for a detached house on land of Rose Cottage, 128 Southampton Road (PA 06/89040 refers)

iii) Appeal against the refusal of permission for a staff cottage, garage and stables at Crow Hill House, Crow Hill (PA 07/91311 refers)

4. High Street, Market Place and Southampton Road – Proposed Traffic Regulation Order

To consider amended proposals for the introduction of loading restrictions and the provision of disabled badge holder parking and loading only bays, to prevent obstruction caused by parked vehicles (proposals map available to view in the office)

5. Survey of Taxi Ranks

To consider survey by New Forest District Council looking at the usefulness, positioning, condition and general perception of the use of taxi ranks (attached)

6. Initiative to Reduce Speeding and Anti-Social Driving

To approve the Deputy Town Clerk’s response to the District Council’s invitation to comment on a bid for continued deployment of Speed Indicator Devices (SIDs) and greater use of Speed Limit Reminder signs (SLRs)
