A meeting of the above Committee will be held at The Public Offices, 65 Christchurch Road, Ringwood, on Wednesday 6th September 2006 at 7.00 pm* or at the conclusion of the Special Council Meeting, whichever is the later, and your attendance is requested.

3.  To approve as a correct record the Minutes of the Meeting held on 5th July 2006

4.  To receive reports from councillors on visit to see New Milton’s sports facilities on 7th August 2006

5.  Carvers  Recreation Ground

(a) Pavilion - update on refurbishment work

(b) To consider pest control measures

6.  Ringwood Lawn Tennis Club

To consider:

(a) Report on meeting with Club representatives on 4th August 2006 and letters received on behalf of the Club

(b) Arrangements for recharge for expenses incurred in 2006/07 financial year

(c) Use of hard courts from October 2006 and charges to be made to Tennis Club

7.  Proposed Sports Facilities at Long Lane

(a) To consider arrangements being made for use of the 10 acre field and costs of accommodation works; and

(b) Progress report on acquisition of remainder of land identified for inclusion in the scheme

8.  Dr Little Gardens

To consider proposal to lower the height of surrounding wall in order to reduce incidents of anti-social behaviour

9. To consider arrangements for dealing with dog fouling on open spaces

10. Ringwood Cemetery

(a) To receive Clerk’s report on investigations into the re-use of graves;

and

(b) To consider the timescale for bringing the unused part of the Cemetery (currently let as temporary allotments) into use and arrangements to be made for the preparation of a development scheme for the site

11.  Floral decorations

To consider:

(a) Report on floral decorations carried out in 2006 and health and safety implications arising from use of lamp post planters

(b) Authorising investigations into alternative uses of lamp post planters;

and

(c) Types of plants to be used for 2006 winter displays

12.  Ringwood Junior School

To receive report on discussions with Hampshire County Council in relation to the use of the Town Council’s land as a footpath between the school and its playing field

13.  Tree Surveys

            To consider report on tree surveys for:

            (a) Jubilee Gardens

            (b) Southampton Road – Parsonage Barn Lane

            (c) Southampton Road – Town side

            (d) War Memorial Gardens

            (e) Bickerley Village Green

            (f) The Mount

14.  Pocket Park

           (a) To receive update on progress

(b) To consider an approach from Churchill Retirement Living to be involved in a community project for the area

15.  Urgent business

17.  Poulner Junior and Infant Schools

To receive report on renewal of grass maintenance contract and approve arrangements for submission of formal quotation
