A meeting of the above Committee will be held at “Greenways” on Wednesday 21st July 2006 at 2.05 pm* or at the conclusion of the public participation session at 2.15 pm and your attendance is requested.

*The meeting will be preceded by a public participation period of up to 10 minutes at 2.05pm.  If no member of the public wishes to speak to the Council, the meeting will start at 2.05pm.

1. Apologies for absence

2. To receive Declarations of Interest

3. To approve as a correct record the Minutes of the Meetings held on 24th May and 23rd June 2006

4. Signage (referred back by Full Council)

To note that the Town Plan Partnership Steering Group has appointed a Project Group to investigate signage issues and report back with proposals, costings and sources of funding, therefore, no further action is required by this Committee.  However, the Committee may wish to consider appointing a member to the Project Group.

5. Bickerley/Pocket Park
To receive an update on development proposals and discussions with the highways authority about the provision of the footpath and its effect on the width of the road (copy of RL&OS Committee minute attached for information)

6. Appeal to the First Secretary of State

To consider an Appeal by Mr R G Luckie against NFDC’s decision to refuse planning application number 86815 for a detached dwelling at land of 14 Field Way (reason for refusal and grounds of appeal attached).

7. Climate Change and Sustainable Energy Act 2006

To receive details of this new Act and its impact on Town and Parish Councils, and encourage its promotion through the Council’s website (details attached).

8. New Forest National Park – Draft Statement of Community Involvement

To consider whether to respond to the Strategy (copy available to view in the office or online at www.newforestnpa.gov.uk)

9. District Council Members Tour of Planning Sites

To receive information on sites put forward by the Deputy Town Clerk and consider any further suggestions.

10. Planning Applications

To consider applications received for periods ending 20th & 27th June and 4th & 11th July 2006 schedule attached
