ELECTIONS TO TOWN COUNCIL

There will be elections for Town Councillors in May 2007.  This is an opportunity for residents to be elected to the Council and to help run services and make decisions on the town’s future.  Councillors are not paid, although they can receive an annual allowance of about £600 to cover expenses etc.  We will be running briefing sessions in late January/early February 2007 for anyone interested in standing for election.  If you want to know more, then please forward your name and address so that we can send a personal invitation to you to attend when arrangements have been finalised
