 “Well, we have moved the cause of an annoyance on the grass area between Bickerley Road and Bickerley Terrace by installing goal posts on the larger part of the Bickerley.
In order to encourage the youngsters to stay well away from housing and parked cars, we would love to install a seat and a rubbish bin near the goal posts area” said Cllr Brian Terry, Chairman of the Town Council’s Recreation Committee.
“Over the years a number of people have approached the Town Council to sponsor street furniture. We are delighted that the Carnival Committee has sponsored a new bin and if any individual or company would like to sponsor a seat on the Bickerley, we would be pleased to hear from them” added Cllr Terry.
