“For too long we simply looked upon ourselves as a gateway to the National Park,” said Jeremy Heron, Chairman of the Town Council’s Policy & Finance Committee. “We believe there are tourist attractions in Ringwood in their own right, such as Liberties Owl, Raptor & Reptile Centre, the Town & Country Experience, Ringwood Brewery, our local shopping facilities and, not to mention, the multitude of eating places.”
In order to stimulate tourism, the Town Council is inviting all local people involved in tourism to a public meeting on Wednesday 9th June at 6.00 pm in the Wedding Room of the New Forest District Council public offices, to discuss the establishment of an independent tourism group to promote the attractions in Ringwood.
