This page was last updated on Monday, March 15, 2010

Ringwood Town Mayor Cllr Christine Ford planting with the 2515 ATC Ringwood & FordingbridgeMembers and staff of the 2515 Squadron Air Training Corps, Ringwood & Fordingbridge turned out in force, equipped with spades, at the Long Lane allotment site on Friday afternoon to plant 300 hedging shrubs along the border of the allotment site and Ringwood Town Football Club.

The planting is part of a wider community scheme, entitled Cadet 150, sponsored by the Woodland Trust.

The objective is to plant 150,000 trees across the UK under the auspices of the Cadet 150 project in order to promote the Cadet in the community programme across the Cadet movement.

The cost of the plants has been met by the Woodland Trust, however the Cadets organised delivery to Ringwood Town Council and provided their labour for the benefit of the community.
