An Oak tree was planted in memory of Wendy Otter on Friday, 17th December, at the Danny Cracknell Pocket Park, Ringwood.
Wendy was a Community Staff Nurse based at Ringwood Medical Centre for many years, serving the communities of Ringwood and Fordingbridge.
She died suddenly nearly two years ago and is very much missed by her family and friends and the many patients whose lives were touched by her dedication.
An Oak tree was thought to be a fitting tribute to Wendy, planted in an area developed for the community of Ringwood, present and future to enjoy.
Karen Brown and Wendy Levett, former friends and colleagues, had set up a memorial fund after Wendy died, enabling the purchase of the tree in her memory and would like to thank all those who contributed.
The ceremony was attended by Wendy’s family, friends and colleagues and Town Mayor, Cllr Christine Ford, who said “The Town Council were delighted to be able to agree to the planting of a tree in memory of Wendy Otter, who gave many years service to the people of Ringwood.” |
