“Although a number of groups within Ringwood still visit their counterparts in Pont Audemer, the Twinning Committee for the town has long since ceased to function,” said Councillor Mrs Christine Ford, Town Mayor of Ringwood.
“As a Town Council, we firmly believe that there are great benefits from links with our French friends and we are trying to re-establish the Twinning Committee.”
A public meeting to re-form the Twinning Committee will be held in the Hilary Christie room at Greyfriars on Monday 20th July at 6pm, not 27th July as published in one local newspaper.
Everyone is welcome to attend.
