“Our first holiday play scheme last year was so successful that we are doing it again this year,” says Councillor Brian Terry, Chairman of the Town Council’s Recreation Committee.
The play scheme will be on Carvers Recreation Ground and will again
be run by Jonathan the Jester of the Tabletop Circus.
It will be based on the former grass tennis courts next to the children’s play area and the holiday fun club will take place on:
Mondays and Thursdays, 10 – 12 noon, 23 July to 27 August.
Once again, this year there will be no charge for any children attending.
In addition, new this year, there will be two ‘teen’ sessions on:
Monday 3rd and Monday 17th August from 12.30 – 2.30pm.
Activities include games, balloon modelling, fun shops, stilt walkers, entertainers and circus skills, with a chance to show off at the end.
Very young children should be accompanied, but parents and older siblings are also welcome. |
