Refuse collection has returned to normal. There are still a couple of problem areas: the village of Burley, Thorney Hill and surrounding areas, especially the rural farm tracks. The council's collection teams are attempting to pick up any refuse put out on Wednesday.
In some of the remote areas a collection may not occur and residents in these specific areas are asked to take in their refuse. There will be a double collection next Wednesday. Double collections will take place next week in those areas affected by the snow and ice on Monday and Tuesday of this week.
The New Forest District Council website: www.newforest.gov.uk will be updated with the latest information about refuse collection arrangements. Or contact the council's customer call centre on: 01590 646123
