| Opening of the Taxi Rank Shelter |
A partnership project between Ringwood Town Council and Sainsbury’s has delivered one of the “Wishes” identified through public consultation on the Town Plan.
With the aid of a generous contribution from Sainsbury’s, a shelter has been provided for people waiting at the Taxi Rank in Meeting House Lane.
A new footpath with dropped kerbs has been constructed and the area has been given a general tidy-up to make it more visible and accessible.
The Town Mayor said: “This project was identified through the Love It, Hate It, I Wish survey run by the Town Council to identify residents’ desires and needs for the future of Ringwood. Some respondents put a taxi shelter amongst their top 3 wishes, and I am delighted that we have been able to work in partnership with Sainsbury’s to provide this much needed facility for the people of the town.” |
