Appeal for witnesses after Ringwood robbery

Police in Ringwood are appealing for witnesses after a man with learning difficulties was robbed.

 

The incident occurred close to the public toilets in Meeting House Lane, Ringwood, on Friday, October 10, sometime between 3 and 4.30pm. 

 

The 35-year-old local man was approached by his robber who demanded money.  When the man refused, the robber pushed him against a wall.  Fearing for his safety the man handed over five pounds.

 

The incident left the man traumatised but otherwise uninjured.

 

He described his attacker as:

  • Asian appearance
  • Aged approx 40 years
  • 5ft 10ins tall
  • Well built
  • Medium dark hair collar length
  • Clean shaven
  • He was wearing a tracksuit and white jacket. 

 

If anyone was in the area at that time and saw this man or has information about who is responsible, they should contact Ringwood police station on 0845 045 45 45 or the Crimestoppers charity anonymously on 0800 555 111.
