Mayor Brian Terry states, “How depressing that trespassers on the Avon Heath Country Park should stop the Festival of Transport and blow a hole in one of the attractions for the Ringwood Festival.
We are extremely disappointed that in this day and age, it appears to be so easy for one group to completely destroy a pleasurable activity enjoyed by others.
We do hope that the Festival of Transport will take place on Avon Heath Country Park again in future years and that we will be able to welcome the Cavalcade of Transport through the town as part of the Festival.
We are only sorry that people have been deprived of this attraction this year.” |
