Police appeal following an assault in Ringwood

Police in Ringwood are appealing for information following an assault which took place in the car park of the recreation ground behind Ringwood Comprehensive School. The incident occurred at 3.30pm on Monday, March 5.

A 15-year-old boy was walking with a group of friends when he tripped. A man walking behind him told him to watch what he was doing and head butted him. The man walked away towards Cloughs Road. The boy sustained a minor injury to his face.

The man is described as:
  • White
  • 5ft 7ins tall
  • 25-30 years old
  • Medium build
  • Short, dark hair and clean shaven
  • Pierced ears
  • Wearing a tracksuit
  • With a woman and two young children, one child was riding a pink bicycle.
Anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information is asked to contact Police Constable Norman Lampard at Ringwood police station on 0845 045 45 45, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
