Police are appealing for witnesses following a burglary at a garage block in Hightown Gardens, Ringwood.
The incident took place between 3pm on Saturday, January 20 and 7.30am on Monday, January 22.
A wood chipping machine worth more than £10,000 was among items stolen from a garage.
It is described as:
TP150PHM model wood chipper
Bright red coloured with a yellow handle and detachable chute
Fixed onto a rigid two wheeled trailer for towing
12ft long, 4ft wide and 4ft high.
Other items taken include a red and white coloured Honda CR250 motor-cross bike, a holdall containing climbing equipment, and a generator. The total value of these items is approximately £2,300.
The owner of the items locked them away in the garage after finishing work on Saturday, when he returned on Monday morning the garage door was open and the items missing.
Police Constable Chris Gibbs of Ringwood police station said: “The wood chipping machine and many of the other items stolen during this burglary are essential to the day to day work of the garage owner who is a tree surgeon.“The wood chipper is particularly distinctive, we would ask anyone may have witnessed the items being stolen or has any knowledge of their whereabouts to contact us”.
The owners of the stolen items have put up a reward of £1000 for information resulting in the recovery of the stolen goods.
