People in the New Forest are being encouraged to put
their best foot forward and take part in a series of
fun guided walks this summer.
As part of the Active New Forest partnership, Hampshire
County Council is helping to stage five guided health
walks in the New Forest to encourage more people to
improve their quality of life and make use of some
of the beautiful routes in the area.
The third of the guided walks, ‘The Ringwood
Roam’, took place on Saturday 5th August at 3pm.
Winding their way around the town, walkers were able
to burn the calories whilst taking in some of Ringwood’s
impressive natural surroundings such as those at Bickerley
Common.
A further guided walk is currently being planned to
take place in the Ringwood in the Spring of 2007, with
the possibility of a pets theme being included. Watch
this space!
