Find out if your property is at risk of flooding by contacting the Environment Agency’s Floodline by calling 0845 988 1188 or visit the website www.environment-agency.gov.uk

You will also have access to practical information on flood risk and what to do before, during and after a flood. If your home or business is at high risk from flooding, you will be able to register for Floodline Warnings Direct, a free service which provides direct flood warnings 24 hours a day.
Ringwood Town Council holds a supply of unfilled sand bags and sand at the rear of its offices at 71 Christchurch Road.  These are available for members of the public and local businesses at risk of flooding.  The Environment Agency advise not to fill bags more than half full, to place the half-filled sandbags parallel to the direction of flow and to tuck the opened end under the filled half of the bag and position it pointing into the water flow.
