How to get there: Take the A35 out of Lyndhurst towards Christchurch and turn right at The Swan public house to Emery Down. At the New Forest Inn bear left to Bolderwood and Millyford Bridge car park is about 2 miles along this road on the right hand side.

Ashley Walk Car Park is the 1st on your left after the V junction.

Roe Watch

New Forest Keeper Maaretn ledeboer joins us for this early morning search for the elusive roe deer on his beat

Meeting Place: Wootton Bridge car park
How to get there: Wootton Bridge is situated on the B3058, which runs between Brockenhurst and Sway. From the A35 follow signs to Setthorns Campsite. At the T Junction after the straight road turn left. The car park is situated on your right hand side

Clothing Required: Walking boots, dark coloured outdoor clothing and binoculars, if you have them (limited number provided)
Booking Required: Essential - Bookings will be taken from the 8th January 2007.

Growing Wild - Making Feathered Friends
Saturday April 14 2007 10.00am - 12 noon

Can you make space in your life for a few feathered friends? Join a volunteer ranger to learn how to recognise our most common birds and make fat balls to encourage them to make the most of your garden

Age Group: All ages are welcome, but most suitable for those between 7 and 11 years. Children must be accompanied by no more than 2 adults
Cost of Event: £4 per child
Meeting Place: Cadmans's Pool Car Park
How to get there:  From Junction 1 of the M27 take the B3079 towards Brook then left along the B3078 towards Fordingbridge. Continue for several miles then take the first left, signposted Fritham. Continue past the next turn to Fritham on your right and Janesmoor Pond car park on your left. Take the next right, signposted to Bolderwood, and Cadman's Pool car park is about 0.5 miles on the right.

Clothing Required: Warm outdoor clothing, walking boots or wellingtons. Field guide and binoculars if you have them.
Booking Required: Essential - Bookings will be taken from the 8th January 2007.
Dogs Allowed: no

Meeting Place: The Verderer's Court adjacent to the Queen's House Lyndhurst
How to get there:  Park in the main Lyndhurst car park. The Verderers Court is situated at the very top of the High Street, just past the Church

Clothing Required: Cushioned benches are available on a first come first served basis. Alternatively, bring a cushion.

Dawn Chorus

With National Dawn Chorus Day around the corner, join us in this early morning woodland walk and listen to the many bird songs that can be heard as the forest starts to wake

Foresters at Work in the New Forest Throughout 2007.

The Forestry Commission has 134 car parks in the New Forest. From 6th November 2006 until 19 March 2007 28 of these car parks will be temporarily closed.

The remaining 106 car parks will be open for public use, providing alternative car parking close by. By closing certain car park during the wet winter months we aim to reduce the overall damage to car park surfaces and target limited maintenance resources more efficiently.

Godshill Pit, Lords Oak, Shepherds Gutter, Stoney Cross, Ocknell Pond, Spring Bushes, Verely Hill, Barrow Moor, Hazel Hill, Brockishill Green, Minstead Road, Woosons, Whitemoor, Reptile Centre, Lucy Hill
Clay Hill ( Burley), Osmonds Bushes, Boundway, Longslade View, Horseshoe Bottom, Wilverley Pit, Ober Corner, Standing Hat, Whitley Wood, Parc Pale, Northgate, Culverley, Crockford Clump
