Are you aged 13years, 3 months. - 18? Fed up with your games console? Want to get involved with something that offers a wide range of exciting activities?
Then read on! We are the Ringwood and Fordingbridge Air Cadet Squadron, and are currently actively looking for enthusiastic young people (both male and female) from the Ringwood, Fordingbridge and Downton areas particularly but also anywhere within the Ringwood & Fordingbridge catchment areas to join us. In return we can offer you a wide range of exciting activities and opportunities.
The Organisation is one of the largest providers of Duke of Edinburgh Awards in the UK from Bronze, Silver to Gold and is now able to award BTECs in single and double subjects and diplomas in multiple aviation and public service subjects that are the equivalent of GCSEs at Grade C. You can experience flying, where you'll get a chance to take control of a two seat aircraft and maybe even do aerobatics! Winch launched and powered gliding is also available and so much more!
The Squadron has close links with the Royal Air Force and the Royal Air Forces Association - 'RAFA' and assist in raising money for this ex-service charity's Wing's Appeal to mark the Battle of Britain as well as the Royal British Legion's Poppy Appeal. Members of the Fordingbridge Town Council including its Mayor are also active members of the Squadron's Civilian Committee.
Charges:
We do charge £30 per quarter - Uniform is issued free of charge
