Hampshire Food Festival
Hampshire Food Festival
This year’s Hampshire Food Festival runs from July 1st-31st with 120 different events held across the county in celebration of Hampshire’s finest food and drink.

Festival events include cookery master-classes, farm tours (from water buffalo to mushrooms!), cider & beer celebrations, heritage events and educational workshops.

As part of The Year of Food and Farming, there’s also plenty of fun for children to explore farms, meet farm animals and get hands-on. Ainsley Harriott, Rose Elliot and Prue Leith are taking part,

Hampshire chefs will be giving demonstrations and local producers will be cooking at Hampshire Farmers’ Market Taster Days.

Many restaurants, hotels and pubs will be serving Hampshire menus and celebration dinners. The Festival also incorporates The New Forest & Hampshire Show and Alton Agricultural Show.

Pick up a free Hampshire Food Festival programme, with the foreword by Gordon Ramsay, at Hampshire libraries and info centres from the end of May, or register to receive your free copy at www.hampshirefare.co.uk, where all events are also listed. Hampshire Food Festival visitors can enter a free prize draw to win a luxury two night break at Lainston House Hotel near Winchester.
